Terms of use

Last updated 16 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and the developer of MealBuddy ("we", "us") for using the MealBuddy app. By using MealBuddy you agree to them and to our privacy policy. Apple's standard licence agreement for apps also applies.

1. What MealBuddy is, and isn't

MealBuddy is a simple way to share your meals with people you trust. It isn't a medical device or a treatment tool, and it doesn't give medical, nutrition or mental health advice. It isn't designed to diagnose or treat any condition, including eating disorders. If you have questions about your health or eating, please talk to a doctor or a qualified health professional.

2. Your account

You sign in with Apple and you're responsible for keeping your device and Apple account secure. You need to be at least 13 to use MealBuddy. You can delete your account any time in Settings, Delete Account.

3. Being a good buddy

You can share photos, a display name, an avatar, comments and reactions with your buddies. Please keep it kind. You agree not to post anything that:

We don't tolerate abuse. You can report a photo, comment or person from inside the app, and block anyone at any time. We review reports promptly and may remove content or close accounts that break these rules.

Your photos and comments stay yours. You give us permission to store them and show them to the buddies you've chosen, which is what the app needs to work. Please only share things you have the right to share.

4. Subscriptions

5. Changes and availability

We're always improving MealBuddy, so features may change. We'll try hard to keep it running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of bugs.

6. Liability

MealBuddy is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the app, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for MealBuddy in the 12 months before a claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded, including the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Changes to these terms

If we update these terms we'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app if it's a big change. Continuing to use MealBuddy means you accept the updated terms.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
