Common questions
How do I log a meal?
Open MealBuddy and tap the meal that's due. Take a photo, pick one from your library, or just tick it off. Forgot earlier? Tap a past meal to fill it in later.
How do I add a buddy?
Go to the Buddies tab and send a request. They'll see your meals once they accept, and you'll see theirs.
Who can see my meals and photos?
Only buddies you've accepted. There's no public feed, and you can remove or block a buddy any time from the Buddies tab.
How do I report or block someone?
Open the buddy's day and use the menu to report or block them. You can also report a comment from its menu, or a meal photo with the flag button. Reports are confidential, and you can email us too.
Why does MealBuddy ask for my location?
It's optional. If you allow it, your rough location is used on your iPhone to show the weather in the penguin's sky. It's never saved or sent to our servers.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose MealBuddy and tap Cancel Subscription.
I got a new phone. How do I get my subscription back?
Sign in with the same Apple account, then tap Restore Purchases in MealBuddy's Settings.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings and tap Delete Account. This removes your account, meals, photos and buddy connections straight away. It doesn't cancel an App Store subscription, so cancel that in iPhone Settings too.
If things feel hard
